StayChain
StayChain goes on your chainstay and makes your chain stay.
A universal zip-tied chain stabilizer and silencer designed to fill the gap between your chain and the chainstay below it, greatly reducing its unncecessary movement and oscillation when plowing through chattery terrain.
Thin comb-like tines flex when the chain contacts them, disrupting its up-down oscillation and dispersing the force over many small points of contact.
Made from super-durable thermoplastic polyurethane, and attached with included zip-ties.
Choose up to three additional small auxiliary pods to arrange them according to your needs along the chain stay and seat stay areas.
Available in a variety of colors to match, complement, or get lost against your bike’s frame.

FAQ
“What if my bike already has a chainstay protector installed from the factory?”
No problem - if it’s a fitted one like those found on many Commencal bikes, you can remove it by flexing it off the chainstay and replacing it with the StayChain. If it’s more like a pad that uses adhesive, you can either install the StayChain directly over it, or carefully peel away the protector and then attach StayChain.
How do I know where along the chain or seat stays to attach StayChain?
A good way is to place it is near where the factory installed chainstay protector that most bikes have was installed. A BETTER way to place it is to grab a friend (if you’re able to) and have them take a slow-motion video of the chainstay area as you do some bunny hops, rear wheel lifts, or just lift and drop your bike a handful of times. Then you’ll be able to see how your chain moves and oscillates as the rear suspension compresses. With that in mind, you can choose how to align your main StayChain unit so that it covers most of the area where the chain gets closest to the upper surface of the chain stay, and then any auxiliary mini StayChain units can be placed along the underside of the chain stay, again in areas where the chain gets closest to the it. You may also find that your chain approaches or even touches the underside of the seat stay, in which case an additional StayChain mini unit can be attached in that spot.
