When you’re tired of collecting scars on your shins, it might be time for ProtecShin.

ProtecShin guards are supremely easy to use. Just snap one tab closed and tuck the bottom half of the guard into your sock. No need to take off your shoes or socks, they pack flat to less than an inch (25mm) thick, and they integrate perfectly with many knee guard sleeves, giving you the flexibility to run them in addition to knee protection. They're also easy to rinse off after a ride.

This all means that you won’t get lazy about throwing them on when you want to, and taking them off when you don’t. With optional calf guards that attach just as easily, you can try new tricks, jumps, and gnarly trails with confidence knowing that if you do slip a pedal, your shins and calves can be safe from those horrible, deep gashes.

Please note that ProtecShin guards are not designed to eliminate the potential pain associated with the impact from a fast spinning pedal. They are designed to be as thin and low profile as possible while preventing pedal pins from breaking skin.

Note: ProtecShin guards are a balance - they are slim, easy to wear when you feel like trying some tricks or want to send it, and take up almost no space in your pack. Made of thermoplastic polyurethane, they are ideal for absorbing impacts and will* stop pedal pins from puncturing skin. However, you may still experience bruising and associated pain from the impact, simply because they are designed to be thin and minimal. Additionally, if you ride with low socks, then these will not work, as the bottom half will be unsecured. Please consider these variables when deciding on ProtecShin guards!

*While the guard itself withstands puncture from pedal pins, there is of course still the assumed risk that the pedal may find its way to a part of the leg that is not covered. As always, ride within your own capabilities and acceptable risk level!
