ISFP: I Shoot From Pants

$24.00

We already have phones with pretty amazing cameras that have wide angle lenses, image stabilization, and great battery life.

So why not use it to snag some fun POV riding shots when inspiration strikes?

The ISFP holster allows you to do just that: capture POV riding clips from the waistband much more reliably than by just cramming your phone down there and hoping it stays in place and recording. ISFP has these main features and benefits:

  1. Keep phone in place

  2. Angle it upwards by between 15-25º to capture both bike and scenery

  3. Separate phone screen from sweaty shirt to eliminate chance of interference

  4. Keep your top from drooping down and obscuring the camera

  5. No moving parts, one-piece, basically indestructible

For example, iPhone models 15 and newer have “Action Mode” image stabilization, which when paired with the 0.5x camera and used with the ISFP holster, produce some very fun POV shots that capture not just the scenery, but your handlebars, top tube, and even your knees, all of which makes the footage more engaging to watch than a head-mounted action camera. What’s more, because the image stabilization on a phone is “less capable” than that of a dedicated action camera, the footage tends to look more like how riding feels. Finally, because the footage is already on your phone, it’s that much easier to review, edit, and share.

For storage or transport, the ISFP holster can close in such a way that its widest part shrinks from 60mm to 30mm, taking up minimal space in a bag or even temporarily in a pant pocket or waistband.

Finally, for an extra 10º of upward camera angle, the ISFP can be optioned with a small wedge that snaps into place behind the phone slot - best for extra steep lines or capturing more scenery than bike if pedaling on flat ground.

Currently ISFP will fit any phone whose dimensions (with any case its in) do not exceed 158mm x 78mm x 13mm. Image stabilization is not required but makes a big difference if your phone hase that feature.
