Separating the mounting interface and fender into two components gives the BOQS system these distinct advantages over all other mudguards:
1. Once the mount is bolted onto the fork arch, the fender can be detached in seconds by hand withhout any tools or hardware.
2. In case of damage, separately available fenders and mounts can be purchased to replace that component without having to replace the entire mudguard, unlike other bolt-on mudguards.
Each BOQS component is FDM manufactured (“3D printed”) with materials and processes that are optimized for their function - the mount is made of carbon-filled Nylon, ideal for stiffness and strength. The fender features a thin layer of PETG sandwiched between outer layers of TPU, creating just enough flexibility to mount the fender while remaining stiff and durable when curved into position.
Two included stainless steel M4 bolts attach the mount to the fork arch.

Installation Tips:
Take care not to cross-thread the bolts into the fork arch bosses. It’s best to tighten each bolt little by little rather than one fully and then the other.
When attaching the fender onto the mount, especially for the first time, it helps to slightly pull on the edge of the fender strap to create a gap that the mount hooks can start working their way into. After the fender has been attached for a while, the straps will form to the mount arms and removing/replacing it will be even faster and easier.
While the mounts are very strong, do not try to exert excessive force through them especially laterally if you are having trouble getting the fender to attach. Instead, you may remove the mount, attach the fender first, and then mount the complete mudguard back onto the fork.
To remove the fender, undo the upper slots first, and then start to wiggle the fender away from the mount hooks by flexing it slightly to clear the edges of the mount hooks.
