SpinCap [Prototype]
SpinCap [Prototype]
SpinCap is currently in the prototyping/testing stage. Please read the description below carefully!
SpinCap is a modular top-cap system that lets you route you front brake line (mechanical or hydro) directly through the fork steerer, freeing up the handlebars to throw bar-spins, tail whips, etc.
The inner insert that houses the stem cap bolt has a threaded sleeve that allows you to screw in the SpinCap, a top cap with a dedicated brake cable channel. Alternatively, if you revert to normal front brake routing or no front brake at all, you can swap in the NeroCap, a fully enclosed cover for an ultra-clean look atop your cockpit.
Installation requires filing or drilling away one of the wings of the star nut in your fork steerer, allowing clearance for the cable. After that, simply remove your existing top cap, and reuse the bolt to install the SpinCap’s steerer insert. Next, thread in your choice of SpinCap or NeroCap. Finally, if using SpinCap, run the brake cable down through the steerer and re-connect. If using NeroCap, you’re done.
The system includes the threaded steerer insert, both the SpinCap and the NeroCap covers, and a small washer for the stem bolt. Reuse your existing top cap bolt!
As this is a ‘prototype’ part, please install and ride at your own risk. You are always welcome to reach out with any questions or feedback as well: sandro@cavaneromoto.com.

Known Issues:
The headset may develop some play after riding, so you may need to loosen stem bolts, pop out the little SpinCap trapdoor cover and re-tighten the stem bolt to remove headset play.
