CavaNero Goes Racing, Ep. 2: BOQS Conquers Connecticut

Long Story Short…

  • Cole Miller tops Expert 19-29 in 1st place, running a BOQSSER mudguard all weekend to keep the gross stuff off his fork and out of his goggle-less face.

  • Sandro can’t figure out top section into rock roll and gets what he deserves: a tepid 6th place in the Amateur 30-39 category.

A bit more details:

Conditions started looking a lot like those in Oil City a month earlier: sloppy and wet, but with a lot more roots, rocks, ruts, and wet grass to catch riders off-guard.

BOQS Gets Updates!

The BOQS boiz fighting the good fight against mud and other grossness. Thanks to some invaluable insight into the mud-deflecting performance of the BOQSSER (left) vs the BOQS Z (middle) and the SHOQSSER (right), some design changes have been made to the latter two to increase their effectiveness, see below:

The updated SHOQSSER (for 2019-2023 RockShox BOXXER forks) has received significantly extended side flaps to increase protection from mud at the fork seals, as well as an aesthetic redesign that more closely follows the BOQSSER and the RockShox BOXXER design languages.

Similarly, BOQS Z now has greatly extended side flaps that will reduce mud flinging off the wheel and onto the fork seals. See the original (left) as compared to the revised fender (middle and right). That’s how real-world testing and abuse ultimately ensures that you get the best product we can make.
